About the classification and selection of lamps

From different perspectives, lamps can be divided into different types.

First, according to the classification of protection against electric shock can be divided into:

Type 1 and 0 lamps: lamps that rely only on basic insulation to prevent electric shock protection. In case of failure of basic insulation, lamps that rely only on the environment to provide reliable protection.

2. Ι lamps: not only rely on basic insulation to prevent electric shock, but also additional safety protection measures (grounding), the conductive parts touched are equipped with a fixed connection to the grounding wire, so when the basic insulation fails, it can be contacted The conductive member also does not become a charged body.

3, Π class lighting: not only rely on basic insulation to prevent electric shock, but also double insulation or reinforced insulation like security measures to provide reliable protection

4. Ш lamps: Depending on the supply of safe low voltage (SELV) to prevent the risk of electric shock, and the lighting equipment will not produce higher than safety extra low voltage (50V or less).

At present, the domestic market is dominated by Class A and Class II lamps. Generally, we do not agree with the use of class 0 lamps. Since Class A lamps are difficult to control in the market, they are rare.
