Chinese designer presents "garbage furniture" to the Expo

"Junk, waste, a different attitude towards, can be a useful thing." Last week, nearly one hundred chairs were created by a furniture and scrap waste materials as raw materials, along Hall School of Design at Central Academy of Fine Arts in The steps are full, and after taking the family portrait, they are packed and shipped to Shanghai, 80 of which will appear in the Zero Carbon Pavilion of the World Expo.

Commissioned by the designer of the Zero Carbon Pavilion, these chairs were designed and produced by teachers and students of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and several designers . Although weird chairs use unexpected materials, they all have the ability to " sit " in common . With such a "waste of abandoned and no" attitude, Chinese designers as Urban Best Practices Area Expo project "Zero Carbon Museum" goes to a special gift.

"
Sit " is possible

Newspapers, tires, water pipes, bath barrels, steering wheels, cans, and careful identification, you can find more familiar things from these chairs. They have been ingeniously transformed and arranged into special seats. After more than 20 days, every spectator who is going to visit the Zero Carbon Pavilion of the World Expo will have a chance to try it because they are not exhibits , but will be used for daily use in public areas. However, except for those made from old furniture and old chairs, some do not look like chairs. Without a little imagination, you might not dare to sit down.

Designs sorted out in the trash

Recycling, picking out designs from the garbage, and going back to the factory to collect scraps is a common creative path for designers and an understanding of energy saving, environmental protection, and low carbon. As a part of the Zero Carbon Pavilion, the furniture used inside should also reflect the low-carbon purpose. When Jiang Li, the host of the D9 studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and designer Li Yongling received this commissioned task, the designer and the beauty were organized. The design team composed of dozens of teachers and students of the college completed the chair works in various forms in just over a month. At present, their work is not over yet, and bar chairs, sofas and outdoor furniture for the bar area of the Zero Carbon Pavilion are still under intense production.

Throw less for low carbon

Buy one less chair

Today, the term low-carbon is not new to people. Water saving, electricity saving, the use of old objects, waste sorting, etc. are all ways to reduce carbon emissions. The practice of low-carbon behavior in daily life has been regarded as a responsible and caring Performance.

"
The concept of low-carbon furniture is much more than that. We just want to create in the simplest way that everyone can refer to. In fact, we want these chairs to tell people that it is fun to save something that is about to be abandoned. Thing. " Li Yongling, the head of the Zero Carbon Pavilion furniture creation team, said that every family in daily life will generate a lot of garbage. When throwing away old things, it will also give people a new sense of happiness. Thinking, maybe you will be happier, that is, transform what you see as waste into something pleasing to the eye. Throwing a little less and buying a less chair is also a way for ordinary people to contribute to low carbon.

Cherish is an attitude

Saving is a taste

Designing with the theme of low carbon is actually a challenge in itself, because as long as there is action, carbon emissions will occur. Even if recyclable materials are used, energy will still be used in the production of the combination, even if these The emissions generated by energy are balanced out by other methods, and eventually carbon emissions will inevitably occur during the transportation from Beijing to Shanghai.

Speaking of true low-carbon design, Li Yongling believes that a complete low-carbon design is not just the creativity itself, it needs to complement each other in the selection of materials, manufacturing, transportation, and use. The low-carbon chain in social economic life and production methods is not yet perfect At the time, we can only rely on behaviors that we can control to practice low carbon. Every effort is meaningful, just like these chairs, it is not how beautiful they are, but they are expressed in a clear-cut way: cherish is an attitude, and saving is a taste.

About Expo Zero Carbon Pavilion

Zero Carbon Museum is the Urban Best Practices Area Expo project, with a total area of 2,500 square meters, consists of two before and after the construction phase is made, the prototype taken from Beddington South London (BedZED) zero energy ecological residential area. During the Expo, the world's first carbon book system for calculating personal carbon emissions will be unveiled at the Zero Carbon Pavilion. Visitors will be able to eat organic food from all over the world, use energy-saving and emission-reducing cutlery, try on old furniture and so on at their zero carbon experience exhibition.

The Zero Carbon Pavilion uses a variety of energy saving and emission reduction technologies to achieve " zero carbon " . For example, a multicolored hood that rotates with the wind on the top of the building can form indoor and outdoor air circulation without consuming energy. At the same time, the building can use advanced systems and equipment such as solar energy to dehumidify and adjust the temperature of the air entering the room; The electrical and thermal energy required for operation can be obtained by degrading various organic wastes, disposable tableware, etc. in the restaurant through the " bioenergy cogeneration system " . The remaining degradation products can be used as biological fertilizers; in addition, special fluorescent coatings are attached to the surface of the building wall, and the amount of solar energy stored during the day can release light at night and reduce lighting energy consumption.

About low-carbon life

Low carbon, English is lowcarbon . It means lower (lower) greenhouse gas (mainly carbon dioxide) emissions. It can be extended to low-carbon economy, low-carbon production, low-carbon consumption, low-carbon households and so on. Low -carbon life is related to everyone and can be understood as a low-energy, low-consumption, low-cost life.

LED Sensor Batten Lights

LED Sensor Batten Lights has options of microwave sensor and infrared sensor. There are two sensing modes. One is 0-10v dimming, and the other is on/off.

The main difference between these two modes is that the 0-10v dimming mode can set the brightness of the light after the person walks, and the pending time of this brightness can also be set. On/off mode, you can only set the time for the lights to turn off after a person walks, but not the brightness (that is, functions 3, 4 cannot be implemented). The 0-10v dimming mode is more intelligent.

Briefly introduce the function of sensor light:

1. Set up daylight threshold: If the ambient light is higher than the set brightness, the sensing function will not be triggered.

2. Set up the hold time: The time for the light to maintain brightness after the person walks away.

3. Set up a stand-by dim level: set the brightness maintained after the person walks

4. Set up stand-by time: After the person walks, the time to maintain low brightness

5. Set up detection area: Set the detection area.

Toggle button can set the remote distance of remote control and sensor.

If you need sensor lights in factories or warehouses, corridors, or other indoors, you can choose this LED Sensor batten lights. If you need IP66 sensor light, you can choose Sensor Waterproof Light.
