What is a red storm?
Let us first understand the concept. The red storm is due to the fact that the emitted infrared light contains visible light. Light with a wavelength of more than 700 nm is called infrared light, and infrared light of 900 nm or more is basically no red storm. The shorter the wavelength, the stronger the red storm and the higher the infrared sensitivity.
Some infrared camera manufacturers have been able to create a red-violet-free infrared light as a technical issue to promote, as if there is a red storm is low technology, no red storm is high technology. In fact, infrared lamps can be completely red-free (using 940-950nm wavelength infrared tubes) or only weak red storms. There are currently two mainstream infrared lamps on the market, one is slightly red storm, the wavelength is around 850nm; the other is no red storm, the wavelength is around 940nm. The same camera has a sensitivity of 10 times better at 850 nm than at 940 nm. Therefore, the 850nm infrared light with a slight red storm has higher efficiency and should be the preference of infrared cameras.
In recent years, with the expansion of the application range of infrared cameras, the problems are also on the way! All infrared camera manufacturers have been committed to the above improvements, indeed, these "short board" problems have also been greatly improved, making infrared cameras Both the life and night vision effects have been greatly optimized. However, the red storm problem is still a bottleneck problem that has further plagued the development of infrared smart cameras, and still needs to be improved!
