Mitsubishi materials tool listed cutter head interchangeable end mill "PMC shape"

Mitsubishi Materials Tools Co., Ltd. developed the "PMC shape" cutter head interchangeable end mill for sheet metal stamping dies, which was launched on December 1, 2009 (Fig.). The milling cutter is suitable for punching type drilling on a sheet metal workpiece and trimming type cutting teeth for cutting excess portions. Shovel machining refers to cutting the flank surface behind the tool blade.

The processing of the shovel teeth of the sheet metal stamping die requires a large amount of profile processing. The new end mills use the super-hard alloy shank to suppress the “fluctuating” of the vibrations occurring during the machining. A shank is a rod with an end mill clamp at the tip. Long (deep) workpiece cutting in the vertical direction by increasing the distance between the spindle and the cutter head.

In addition, the milling cutter adopts a clamp with a blade-replaceable blade fixing force. A flow hole for increasing the chip discharge and cooling the coolant required for the cutting portion is provided. Through this measure, the new end mill can automate the reciprocating profiling process.

In the past, movement in the X-axis and Y-axis (horizontal) directions was automated, while movement in the Z (vertical) direction was manual. Therefore, the worker needs to cut the mold while visually confirming.

The price of the jig is 38,815 yen (including tax), and the price of the cutter head is 851 yen (including tax).
