The damage of pesticides to plants is divided into acute and chronic. Acute phytotoxicity is manifested within a few hours to a few days of spraying, such as leaves, fruits, spots, yellowing, chlorosis, withering, rolling leaves, deciduous fruit, and constricted clusters. Chronic physiology can only be manifested after a long period of time, such as weak photosynthesis, flower bud formation and delayed fruit ripening, small, deformed, and deteriorated flavor and color.
Once the fruit tree is found to be phytotoxic, the following measures should be taken immediately to save it. First, spray potassium permanganate. Potassium permanganate is a strong oxidant that has oxidative decomposition effects on a variety of chemicals. Spraying 6000 times potassium permanganate solution can effectively alleviate the phytotoxicity. Second, rinse with water. Most chemical agents are not resistant to water scouring. If the application concentration is too large and the phytotoxicity is caused, the sprayer should be used to fill the water, and the leaves of the fruit trees should be washed repeatedly to wash away the residual agent on the surface of the leaves. Third, suspend the use of similar drugs. Before the phytotoxicity is completely relieved, try to reduce the use of pesticides, especially the same kind of pesticides should be stopped, so as not to aggravate the phytotoxicity. Fourth, pay close attention to fertilization and irrigation. After the phytotoxicity of the fruit trees, the quick-acting fertilizer should be supplemented with watering, and the loose soil should be ploughed. At the same time, 0.3-0.5% urea and 0.2-0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be sprayed on the foliage to improve the nutritional status of the fruit trees and enhance the root absorption capacity.
