Beijing announces mixed use of new polyurethane materials for building materials

Among them, the sandwich panel in which the metal panel is directly connected with the rigid polyurethane is limited for the first time, and it is not allowed to be used in temporary residential buildings. The catalog points out that the burning performance of sandwich panels directly connected to rigid polyurethane cannot reach Class A, and is prone to fire accidents. The Provisional Regulations for Fire Protection of Civil Building Exterior Insulation Systems and Exterior Wall Decorations, promulgated in 2009, states that the standard for metal surface hard polyurethane foams stipulates that the combustion performance of the core material is B1. However, from the market inspection point of view, polyurethane material combustion performance is generally B2 level, it is difficult to reach B1 level. As a temporary building metal surface, this type of sandwich panel has a very fast heat transfer rate and it is very difficult to rescue it in case of fire. Therefore, it is strictly required to use non-combustible materials (such as rock wool) with metal-faced composite sandwich panels.

Therefore, the enacted catalogue requires that such sandwich panels are not allowed to be used in temporary residential buildings. Substitute materials should be provided with inorganic liners on the inside of the metal surface to ensure that the fire-resistance limit of the wall complies with the requirements of the fireproof design specification or the combustion performance is used. Grade A rock wool board. The notice stipulates that the material will cease to be designed from July 1, 2010 and will be prohibited from use in Beijing's construction projects on September 1, 2010.

In addition to the restricted sandwich panels with rigid polyurethane, tar polyurethane waterproof coatings are also listed in the list of prohibited construction materials. However, among the 41 types of building materials that have been promoted, polyurethane materials have also appeared, including spray-coated polyurea waterproof coatings, flexible polyurethane floor materials, and other polyurethane-related materials.

The catalog shows that the spray-coated polyurea waterproof coating that has been used successfully in the Olympics project is non-toxic and odorless. It has high tensile strength, wear resistance, flame retardance, uniform thickness, fast curing speed, and has no moisture and temperature. Sensitive, high strength, high elongation, low temperature performance, good flexibility, good thermal stability, no solvent, no volatile organic compounds (VOC), no pollution, friendly to the environment, and conducive to construction environmental protection. Spray polyurea waterproof coating is suitable for waterproof construction of architectural engineering roofs and exposed concrete structures.

The other material that has been promoted, elastic polyurethane flooring, is applied to the interior and exterior floors of civil buildings. According to the data, this material has good mechanical properties, impact resistance, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance, erosion resistance to chemical media, and light pollution prevention.

In addition, it is not allowed to use resin rock wool for insulation of pipelines to have poor thermal insulation effect, energy consumption in the production process, and great harm to the health of workers during the construction process. The new regulations recommend polyurethane insulation pipes as alternative materials.

The notice pointed out that the project that was designed in violation of the regulations will not be issued a "Qualification Document for Inspection of Shooting Documents for Construction Drawings." Building materials products that are prohibited or restricted from procurement or use will be fined.
