A U.S. company has designed a launching system called “Startram†to use a vacuum pipeline transport system to send maglev trains into low earth orbit. If such a technology concept is used to build a levitation-type train system on land, and the construction is successful, It takes only two hours from New York to Beijing. Proponents of the Evacuated Tube Transport (hereinafter referred to as ETT) claim that the vacuum tube transport system is quieter than traditional transportation methods, such as airplanes, trains, or automobiles, at a lower cost and faster than a jet aircraft.
ETT's U.S. Patent No. 5,950,543 contains two evacuated pipes, bodywork, vacuum equipment, suspension components, acceleration devices, braking systems capable of recovering energy, damping devices, and pipeline locators along the line. Fork systems, automatic control, inspection and maintenance devices, construction methods, safety systems, etc. The patent owner established ET3 in 1999 and is currently 7 years away from the expiration of the patent. ET3 adopts the franchise system and hopes to obtain joint fundraising and build demonstration equipment.
The principle of the ETT can be simply described as placing a superconducting magnetic levitation train in a vacuum pipeline and using a linear motor to accelerate to a predetermined rate. Since the motor and the vacuum tube are integrated, the transfer chamber in the vacuum tube does not require an engine or an electrically activated component. The passive superconductor allows the transfer module to float in the vacuum tube, and the eddy current causes the conductive material to drive the transport module. When the cabin is accelerated, the electrical energy is converted into kinetic energy, and when the cabin decelerates, the electrical energy is regained, so the efficiency of such a system is high.
The most practically available model system is based on the shape of a carriage, 1.5 meters in diameter wide, and a manned or cargo transport module that floats in a vacuum magnetic levitation pipe. The magnetic levitation pipe is kept in a near-vacuum condition, the transportation cabin is embedded therein, and it is driven by a gas plug at the site to leave the site and run along the road. When the cabin is accelerated to a predetermined rate (approximately 6,500 km/h), the second half begins to drift automatically. Since the transport cabin operates in a near-vacuum, even a slight shaking of the transport cabin can cause a little energy wastage, but the energy consumption is still very low. The transport cabin loaded with nearly half a ton of cars runs at a high speed of 6,500 kilometers per hour. Hours only require about 244 degrees of electricity.
Because the time required for the acceleration of the transport cabin, its speed will depend on the length of the journey. Given a 1G acceleration, the train can reach a speed of 6500 km/h in about 3 minutes. Within this 3 minutes, the train has driven 161 kilometers. ET3 believes that the reasonable speed for short trips is 600 km/h. However, the pipeline can be connected to the highway, the transport cabin automatically follows the transmission path, and the magnetic levitation pipelines for local travel and long-distance travel are separated, so as not to cause unreasonable scheduling. With such a speed, it takes only 6 hours or so to surround the earth. Some extremely important people or things can immediately reach their destination.
The ET3 company members also cooperated with related agencies in China. In China, they sold more than 10 licenses. As an open-ended consortium, the holder of the license will become the company’s partner. The consortium also claimed that more than 60 licenses were sold in five countries, and some were interested. Each license on their website ET3.com costs $100. The company also developed a virtual 3D transport system. Those who are interested in taking a free car can leave a contact with them. Unfortunately, the virtual system's trial operation time was set last year, but it has not been formally available until now. Open camp.
Is this a promising lofty ideal or a dreamless daydream?
Thin-Walled Polypropylene PCR strip tubes
As one of the largest manufacturers of PCR strip tubes in China for over a decade, we have been supplying PCR 8 strip tubes and PCR single tube to our international customers.
As these PCR tube strips have thin and uniform walls, they can fit in different types of thermal cyclers. As a next step, we are also planning to develop PCR tube strips with attached caps, also called PCR strip tubes with individually attached caps.
More info about PCR strip tubes:
What Are PCR strip tubes?
PCR strips tubes allow scientists working with cyclers and enzymes to gain enhanced PCR yield through a faster transmission of heat from block to the reaction. It offers better control over the reaction while speeding up the process with high heating and cooling rates.
