Chang Yingzhi, a research fellow in the chemical industry of China Investment Advisors, believes that the supply and demand balance of ** has always been relatively fragile, and its price changes are easily affected by trends in the crude oil market and related downstream industries. In the first half of this year, the domestic price of ** fluctuates significantly. The main reason is the change in supply and demand in the market.

Chang Zhizhi pointed out that in the first half of this year, new aromatics plants in Huizhou, Fujian, Shanghai, Dalian, Dushanzi and Panjin were put into production last year, which increased the domestic supply of pure benzene. The downstream industries, such as styrene, phenol, adipic acid, and other devices, due to accidental shutdown or device maintenance, the operating rate is relatively low, and the demand for pure benzene is limited. Chang Yongzhi believes that the imbalance between supply and demand in the domestic pure benzene market during the first half of the year is the main reason for the price fluctuation of pure benzene. The price of domestic pure benzene in the latter period will also be affected by the smooth delivery of new styrene production capacity.

According to the “Investment Analysis and Forecast Report of China's Basic Organic Chemicals Industry in 2010-2015” published by the China Investment Advisor, 5 sets of styrene devices planned to be put into production in China in 2009 were respectively 320,000 tons of Dushanzi, Xinjiang. Annual installations, Heze Jade Emperor 200,000-ton/year plant, Shandong Wangwangxing 80,000-ton/year plant, Sinopec system Anqing Petrochemical 100,000 tons/year plant, Tianjin Daxie 500,000 tons/year plant.

Chang Zhizhi also pointed out that ** is a petrochemical product and it is easy to change with changes in international oil prices. At present, the international economic situation is relatively sluggish. The fluctuation of international oil prices in the first half of this year is also one of the reasons for domestic price fluctuations. According to statistics from the China Investment Advisors Industry Research Center, in recent years, the correlation between domestic prices and international oil prices has reached 95%.

Zhang Yanlin, research director of China Investment Consulting, pointed out that in addition to the above supply and demand and the impact of changes in oil prices, the outbreak of the European debt crisis, the shrinkage of domestic real estate and automotive markets, and downstream industries such as styrene, phenol, acetic acid, caprolactam, aniline and other products The increase in import volume is also a factor that affects the domestic price of pure benzene.
