Israeli companies develop solar power windows

An Israeli company has developed a new type of glass window, in which solar cells are embedded, which can play a variety of roles such as power generation, shading, and light transmission.

Gonen Fink, CEO of Pythagoras Solar, said that while our products generate electricity, they also provide shelter and increase energy efficiency. These windows are transparent in design, and people can still see the outside from the inside, natural light can also enter the interior, reducing the need for artificial lighting.

The cost per square meter of such glass windows is about RMB 7,000, which is much higher than ordinary glass windows, but at the same time it can generate electricity at a power of 140 watts per square meter. The manufacturing company stated that users can recover costs within three to five years after installation, which is half the time spent on solar battery recycling.

The company has already raised 10 million U.S. dollars to prepare for mass production of the product and hopes to gain the favor of builders and designers.
