The reporter learned from the Zhongshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that from January to June this year, a total of 9,919 batches of furniture were exported through inspection and quarantine, with a value of 20.316 million US dollars, a year-on-year drop of 57% and 49%. The export situation is not optimistic. As for the Zhongshan wood furniture companies with Europe and the United States as their main export destinations, they will face stricter tests from July 1st. The most stringent formaldehyde standards law in the history of the United States will take effect from July 1. At present, Zhongshan has a total of 300 export wooden furniture companies.
