Recently, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision announced the results of a special spot check of garment products produced in the province in the second quarter of this year. The results showed that among the 50 batches of garments sampled, there were 19 batches of apparel products that failed to meet the specifications for fiber content, formaldehyde, pH, etc., and the failure rate was 38%.

According to the report, a total of 50 batches of apparel products produced by 39 production enterprises in our province were sampled, 31 batches of inspections were qualified, and the pass rate of spot checks was 62%. There were 19 batches of apparel product quality of 15 production companies. Spot checks failed.

According to relevant experts from Sichuan Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau, formaldehyde is an important aid in the finishing process of textile products.
