According to "Japan Today" reported on October 9, the Alpine Research Organization Ev-K2-CNR recently installed a world's highest network camera on the Himalayas in Nepal. It can transfer real-time images of Mount Everest back to the laboratory for scientists to study the impact of global warming on the world’s highest peak. This wireless network camera is powered by solar energy and is installed on the Kala Patthar opposite Nepal’s Everest, 5,675 metres above sea level. It was developed by the Mobotix company in Germany and can withstand cold temperatures of minus 30 degrees Celsius.
Giampietro Kohl, spokesperson for the Ev-K2-CNR organization, said: “We have created a record: Install the world’s highest webcam.†This camera is working at 6 o'clock in the morning. At 6 o'clock in the evening, record the climate change on Mount Everest.
