At present, the pattern processing methods of tire molds at home and abroad generally have the following types: decals, EDM (electric spark erosion processing), precision casting, special machine CNC engraving.
1. applique
The decal process is to separate the tire tread strip from the mold body when designing the mold, and to process the integral without the conventional one, but to paste or inlay the ribs along the top surface of the mold body to form a whole process.
The process technology is simple and easy to operate within a certain range, and the processing cycle is also short, especially the tire mold of the engineering vehicle is suitable. However, there is a setting gap, which is easy to produce a partial rubber edge in the tire, affecting the appearance of the tire, and also because it changes the overall structural strength of the mold, and is not suitable for a mold having a thin wall thickness, which is not suitable for a complicated pattern.
