According to Japanese authoritative media reports, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association recently released data showing that in 2015, the world's new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation increased by 25.6% from the previous year, reaching 50.6 million kilowatts, a record high. Among them, China, Japan, and the United States accounted for the top three new installed capacity. As of the end of last year, China's cumulative installed capacity exceeded 43 million kilowatts, surpassing Germany and becoming the world's largest photovoltaic power generation country. From the perspective of new installed capacity in various countries in 2015, China's growth rate was 46%, reaching 15.13 million kilowatts; Japan's growth was 13%, reaching 11 million kilowatts; the third is the United States, the top three rankings are the same as in 2014. As of the end of 2015, the world's cumulative installed capacity was 229 million kilowatts. China accounted for 18.9%, followed by Germany (17.3%) and Japan (15%).
Looking ahead to the world market, under the expectation of neutrality, the new installed capacity in 2016 will increase by 22% to 62 million kilowatts, and China will continue to drive the entire market. The cumulative installed capacity at the end of 2020 is expected to reach 600 million kilowatts, which will be expanded to 2.6 times in five years.
