Qingtongxia Aluminum Offsite Relocation Project Settled at Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base

Recently, the Qingtongxia Aluminum Off-site Renovation Project laid the foundation for the construction of the Linhe Industrial Park in Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base, marking that Qingtongxia Aluminum has taken a solid step in the process of entering China's largest electrolytic aluminum company.


The Qingtongxia Aluminum Off-site Renovation Project is jointly funded by China Power Investment Corporation, Qingtongxia Aluminum Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Maike Metal International Group Co., Ltd. to build three 350kA large-scale prebaked anode electrolytic aluminum series. Supporting private power plants and coal mines, with a total investment of about 22 billion yuan, will be completed and put into operation within three to four years, forming a coal-electricity-aluminum industrial chain. In December 2008, the first batch of electrolyzers were energized and put into production. On May 1, 2009, the plant was fully operational. The first 270,000 tons/year electrolytic aluminum series started construction now has an investment of 3.6 billion yuan. After the first series is completed, it will increase the electricity load by about 450,000 kilowatts, and the annual electricity consumption will be about 4 billion kilowatt-hours. After all three series are completed, it will increase the electricity load of about 1.4 million kilowatts, and the annual electricity consumption will be about 12 billion kilowatt-hours, which will become the largest electricity growth point in our district in the next few years.
