Ningde Nuclear Power Station will be connected to the grid by the end of this month

On the 24th, the signing ceremony for the purchase and sale of Unit 1 contract and grid-connected dispatching agreement for the Ningde Nuclear Power Station was held in Fuzhou, marking that the unit officially had the qualification for power generation and will be incorporated into the Fujian Power Grid in March next year to begin power generation and operation.

It is understood that Unit 1 of the Ningde Nuclear Power Station will be connected to the grid by the end of this month. The nameplate capacity of the unit will be 1,089 MW. The load test and transient test will be conducted jointly with the provincial power company to lay the foundation for commercial operations in March next year. The Ningde Nuclear Power Plant is the first nuclear power plant constructed in Haixi and was started in February 2008. This year it passed several important nodes such as thermal test of Unit 1, first-time loading, first-time criticality, and first-time conversion.
