CNC device hardware architecture (5)

Fourth, multi-master structure of the CNC system hardware

In a multi-master CPU architecture, there are two or more CPU components, tightly coupled between components, and a centralized operating system that solves bus contention problems through a bus arbiter (composed of hardware and software). Memory for information exchange.

1, the characteristics of the multi-main structure:

It can realize parallel processing in the true sense, and the processing speed is fast, which can realize more complicated system functions. Strong fault tolerance, after a module fails, it can continue to work through system reorganization

2, the structure of the multi-main structure:

Shared bus structure type; shared memory structure type.

Structure:

The function modules are divided into main modules and slave modules (RAM/ROM, I/O modules) with CPU, centered on the system bus, and all master and slave modules are plugged into a strictly defined standard system bus. The bus arbitration mechanism (circuit) is used to determine the competition problem of multiple modules simultaneously requesting the use of the system bus.

Advantages of the shared bus structure:

The structure is simple, the system is flexible, the cost is relatively low, and the reliability is high;

Disadvantages of shared bus structure:

The bus is the "bottleneck" of the system. Once the system bus fails, the whole system will be affected. Because the bus is used for arbitration, the information transmission rate is reduced.

Structure:

Designed for the common memory, that is, multi-port is used to realize the interconnection and communication between the main modules, and multi-port control logic is used to solve the contradiction between multiple modules simultaneously accessing the multi-port memory conflict.

Since the multi-port memory design is complicated, and for more than two main modules, the memory transfer information may be blocked due to contention memory, so the structure generally uses dual port memory (dual port RAM).

Hydraulic Jack Cylinder

A hydraulic jack cylinder is a component of a hydraulic jack system that is responsible for generating the lifting force.

It consists of a cylindrical tube with a piston inside it. The piston is connected to a rod that extends out of the cylinder.

When hydraulic pressure is applied to the cylinder, it pushes the piston and rod forward, creating a lifting force.

This force can be used to lift heavy objects or vehicles. Hydraulic jack cylinders are commonly used in automotive repair shops,

construction sites, and other applications where heavy lifting is required.
